Not Guilty verdict = LACDL Blackstone Award for Juan P. Bernal's first acquittal in Jefferson Pa

Last night I received a Blackstone Award from the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (LACDL) for my first acquittal. The first of many to come. Standing with my fellow warriors and colleagues from the Jefferson Parish Public Defender Office, who also won Blackstone Awards. What an honor and privilege to use my talent, education, and energy to set someone free. "It is better to let ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."
